Diversion Weir Dog Off Leash Area

The dog off leash area lies between the western end of Red Gum Close and the Werribee River Diversion Weir to the north. The reserve is 600m long and 150m wide.

There is an access path to the dog off leash area at the end of a number of streets including Redgum Close, John Ball Place and De Garis Place.

The off leash area is a big open grassy area bordered by a shared use path on the southern side and another path on the northern which runs close to the Werribee River through woodland. In the open area there is only a single tree. There isn't a bin or water tap in the area. When we visited little thorns stuck into the bottom of our shoes which can be very uncomfortable and painful for dogs.
