The reserve has one off leash area, the unfenced oval shaped grassy area along Higgins Road. The area up the hill to the east, near the Bentleigh McKinnon Youth and Community Centre is on-leash and the fenced oval to the north is also on-leash. The off leash area borders two playgrounds on the southern side and is surrounded by some trees and a shared use path.
One of the playgrounds has a shelter with table and BBQ. Dogs must be kept on-leash within 20m of the playground and BBQ areas.
On the south side is a water tap with bowl and toilets. The area is quite popular and you will probably meet quite a few other dogs.
