The Ricketts Point Sanctuary beach area between the south of the Beaumaris Life Saving Club (opposite 425 Beach Road) and Dalgetty Road (opposite 436 Beach Road) is a dog off leash area at certain times.

Dogs are permitted off leash at all times
Summer Season (1st Nov - 31st Mar)
Dogs are prohibited from 10am to 7.30pm
Dogs are permitted off leash from 7.30pm to 10am

Steps lead down from Beach Road at Dalgetty Road to the beach. To the east of this point is Beaumaris Sea Scout Boat Shed Beach Dog Off Leash Area. To the west is a nice sandy beach which stretches to the Beaumaris Life Saving Club. The water is shallow and there are no rocks in the water. There are some bins along the beach as well as near the Life Saving Club. A number of paths lead down the cliff from above.
