Royal Beach is a small beach, just 190 m long, lying between two 10 to 20 m high, red sandstone bluffs, and backed by grassy bluffs and the Esplanade.
Dogs are allowed off leash at all times between Tasma Lane and the nearest southern headland.
Access is down steep stairs opposite the Royal Hotel to a pebble and sand beach which is fairly shallow.
There isn't a lot of parking availability at the top of the cliff along the Esplanade but free parking is available behind the shops.
Access for Dogs:
Dog off leash all the time during all the year.
