The site is enclosed by a 1.8m fence and has separate fenced areas for large and small dogs.

The large dog area is dotted with smallish trees. This area has a large concrete water trough, water tap with bowl, shelter with seat and gravel walking path which circles the area.

The small dog area has a water tap with dog bowl just inside the entrance gate. The small dog area is quite large and it will seem positively enormous to a small dog! This area has a seat, log, tunnel and grassy area dotted with small trees.

Near the carpark is a double entry gate with bin and there is another entry point further along the Rail Trail. Next to the carpark is a shelter with seats and two unshaded tables.

It is is located next to the O'Keefe Rail Trail, approximately 500 metres along Herriot Street from the town centre.
