Western Oval is a regionally significant reserve which has an oval with a turf wicket, velodrome, cricket practice nets, netball court, pavilion, toilets and playground.
There is little space apart from the oval surrounded by a velodrome track. There are bins, water tap with bowl, shaded seating next to the pavilion and toilets.
The reserve is utilised by the Geelong Cycling Club, Geelong West Cricket Club and Geelong West Giants Football & Netball Club.
Note: Sporting grounds and ovals in the Greater Geelong area can be used for dog off leash activities outside of regular sport or training times.
