The Diamond Creek shared trail runs along the west side of the bushlands. There are some quite large hilly, grassy areas bordered by bushland and Diamond Creek forms a natural barrier on the eastern side. The height of the grass is dependent on the mowing frequency of the council.
There are no taps in the reserve but there is a bin along Falkiner Street near where it intersects with Valley Park Grove.
