Freers Beach from the Hawley Place Beach access walkway round to the point that goes out towards Penguin Island (level with Rice Street) is a timeshare off leash area. Dogs are permitted off leash 7pm to 10am during Daylight Savings Time (during 10am till 7pm, dogs are permitted 'on lead') and off leash 24 hours/day during Eastern Standard Time.
