A 410m long section of Hawley Beach between the boom gate into Point Sorell Reserve (Start of Larooma Road) (northern limit) and Vine Street (southern limit) is a dog off leash area. There are toilets, water tap with bowl and bin on the foreshore along Hawley Esplanade. During Daylight Savings times, dogs are allowed off leash from dawn to dusk and during Eastern Standard Time off leash 24 hours/day.
