As well as a fenced dog park, Boomerang Park has a large unfenced dog off leash area which runs south from the corner of Irrawang Street and Kangaroo Street and includes some sports ovals. There is a water tap without bowl, dog bag dispenser and bin but no seating or shelter. Toilets only open when sports events are on.
