Darkum beach is a 1km long sandy beach running adjacent to Darkum Creek. The beach is not patrolled by lifeguards. You can walk your dog on Darkum Beach off the leash except during Little Tern breeding season. During the breeding season the area is signposted and you must keep your dogs on a leash at all times. 4WD vehicles are not permitted on this beach.
