A 12-month trial is underway for a 300m long off-leash dog area at the southern end of Mona Vale Beach , running from October 14, 2025, to October 13, 2026. During this period, dogs are permitted off-leash from 5:30am to 10am and 5pm to 9pm during daylight saving, and from 6am to 10am and 4pm to 7pm outside of daylight saving.
Owners must clean up after their dogs and keep them from the rest of the beach, which remains on-leash at all times. The off leash area is north of the cliffs between Mona Vale and Warriewood beaches.
