Snape Park is a large sports park which contains an enclosed playground, sports fields, cricket net, tennis courts, exercise equipment, limited seating, shade shelter, toilets, water tap, bin and plenty of street parking. Surrounding the formal setting of the fenced oval and grandstand is an extensive informal and passive area suitable for walking, jogging, kite flying and dog exercise. This area is surrounded by many mature trees that provide shade and has open grassy areas which provide plenty of space for dogs to play.

The park is a dedicated dog off-leash exercise park but dogs are prohibited from the playground, inner fenced oval, netball/tennis courts and rugby/cricket fields.
