South Beach is a lovely, highly rated dog off leash beach extending from level with Scott Street in the north and level with Douro Road in the south. There are plenty of bins and doggy bag dispensers, communal toys and balls, beach showers to wash off the sand. The water has a good sloping gradient to deeper waters which makes it ideal for swimming. Usually there is a coffee van in the morning.
