Located just north of Fremantle, Leighton beach is a long secluded stretch of coastline where dogs can roam along the sandy beach or take a dip in the ocean waters. The beach extends from just north of the railway footbridge and up to South Cottesloe. The beach is popular with dog owners as well as kitesurfers. There are beach showers near the car park, toilets, bins and a dog-friendly cafe, 'The Wooden Wagon' nearby. Parking can be difficult during busy times and the water can often be too rough for dogs to go swimming.
