The west side of the Hopkins River to Flume, which is 1.9km long, is a dog off leash area at all times. There is car parking and toilets at the Hopkins river end (Point Ritchie Road) and a carpark (27 Merri Street) at the western end. Foreshore walking tracks, including Foreshore Promenade are on-leash. Note: The Main beach (Flume to Breakwater is on-leash from April 1 to November 30 and dogs are prohibited during the remainder of the year).
