There is a huge fenced area for dogs measuring 200m x 80m in the section of the reserve from Whitesides Avenue to Glengalla Road.
The area is mainly grassy and has some small trees. An electricity pylon sits in the middle of the area.
There is a gate and bin for used doggy bags at the south and north end gates. There is also a seat and a dog friendly water tap.
There is a playground in the reserve.
