There is a fenced oval on the east side which is off leash. When we were there hundreds of galahs and cockatoos were on the oval but the birds seemed to be used to dogs. The fence has a couple of gaps for entrances.
There is a district level playground in the southeast corner, where there is a water tap and rubbish bin. Someone has left a water bowl inside the fenced oval area for the dogs.
Apart from the oval area, the remaining area of the reserve is quite steep and dotted with a few trees. At the east side of the reserve there is the historic St Katherine's Church which has a cemetery where digging dogs are not excluded.
