A huge grassy area - make sure you take a map, compass and provisions for a week. The park is mainly grass with a few areas of trees. An unwelcome addition are blackberries in one area.
There is an entrance at the east end on Grant Street which has off-street car parking, a bin and water tap. The other entrance at the west end also needs a tap and bin since it is a long way between the extreme ends of the park.
This is a park where there is lots of space to run and explore. The park was quite popular and you should be able to find some canine company to interact with.
