Sandy Point Beach Dog Off Leash Area

Beach

The dog off-leash area extends from 200m north of Ned Neale's Lookout for a distance of 500m north towards Waratah.

At the carpark area there are two unshaded tables and a bin but no water tap. A boardwalk leads from the carpark to a lookout point. There is a short track down to the beach.

It is a big wide sandy beach bordered by dunes.

The following Sandy Point Foreshore Committee rules apply when using the off-leash area:
  • Dogs must be in the proximity of the owner and responsive to commands.
  • Dogs must not interfere with other beach users.
  • Dog faeces must be removed and disposed of properly.
  • Dogs must remain on a leash when moving to and from the off leash area, and in all other areas.
