The reserve is massive with eight sports grounds, Keon Park tennis courts, three pavilions, skate park and playground split by Wagga Road.
The east pavilion near ground 8 has locked toilets. The ovals to the east of Wagga Road do not have any fences and around the ovals there is only a thin strip of grassy area with a few trees.
It is nicer for dogs in the western section of the reserve. When you reach the tennis courts look out for a tree located about 30m south of the courts which has a concrete bowl in the ground which people fill with water. This attracts birds such as rainbow lorikeets as well as thirsty dogs. To the south of the tennis courts is a fenced oval and to the west are unfenced ovals with trees dotted around the edges. There is a skate park, tennis wall and netball / basketball court at the western end which has a water tap with dog bowl together with a pavilion which has rubbish bins. South of the fenced oval is a pavilion with toilets and a bin.
