Somers Trail Dog Off Leash Area

There is a parking area on the west side of the park off Cochrane Street. Across this street is another dog off leash area at Simpson Park.

In Somers Park at the west end there is a fenced playground with bin and water tap with bowl nearby. An asphalt path leads past the playground towards the east and you come to a creek where the path splits. The track on the south side of the creek is easy walking and is recommended. The narrow path on the north side of the creek has steep banks down to the creek in parts and is only recommended if you want an adventure route.

When you get to Purches Street the track continues but it is an on leash area.
