The sports oval which has football posts and a cricket pitch is the only off-leash area. The oval is surrounded by a beautiful white picket fence and is home to the Gladstone Park Cricket Club. There are a number of lockable gates and if they are kept shut by the dog owners then this is a fully fenced oval. There are lovely views across the valley to the north.
There is a bin near the carpark but no water tap. We visited after some rain and the ground was much boggier than other ovals in the region. It seemed like this oval was in its own rain zone.
