A massive area which also includes the Melbourne Water Retarding Basin. This Retarding basin protects downstream properties from flooding which suggests that the basin area may get wet at various times of the year. There are warnings that water may rise suddenly after heavy rain.

Dogs must be on leash within 15m of the shared paths that run through the area. There is a bin near the main car park. The huge grassy area has ovals and soccer fields and on the side is a shelter with seats and water tap with bowl. To the north is a fenced soccer field which is home to Croydon Arrows Soccer Club.
