The north end has a smallish grassy area without trees and has a bin and water tap without bowl. As you go further south there are areas of trees and thick ferns. There are two additional entry points to the reserve, from Eagland Street on the west side and from Hilda Street on the east side, where there is another bin and water tap with bowl.
There is a gravel path along the reserve which reaches fences of houses in the south and curves back to the north.
This is also called Derring Street Reserve.
