Sandfield Reserve is a huge grassy area with a fenced playground, basketball half court with tennis rebound wall and skatepark.

A fenced dog park is the latest addition to the park. The fenced dog park has separate sections for quiet and active dogs and an extensive but compact agility obstacles area in a corner.

The fenced area has a grassy surface and a path running along one side. The dog time out zone for dogs that need a rest from other dogs is at the east end and has one agility item and a shaded seat. There are entry points at each end with double gates with bins. There is a water tap at the western end.

Dogs may also be exercised off lead in the reserve except within 10 metres of the skate park and playground.
