Banksia Park Fenced Dog Park

There is large fully fenced area set aside for owners to let their dogs run off-leash in the Cherry Blossom Loop of Banksia Park. Banksia Park is part of the Yarra Valley Parklands which follows the Yarra River between Heidelberg and Warrandyte.

There are also a lot of possibilities to walk the dog on leash in the surrounding parklands.

Water and unshaded seating is provided within the fully fenced area. Unfortunately there is no bin near the dog park and people have left a pile of bags with poop next to the entrance. Not very pleasant. Entry is through a set of two gates and there is a large circular gravel track leading between the trees and bushes with large open grassed play areas. There are seats within the fenced area and a water tap for both people and dogs.

Opening Hours:

The park is open every day from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours are extended to 8:00 PM during daylight saving. Pedestrians have 24 hour access.
