On the north side of the reserve is busy High Street Road where there is a playground. There are grassy areas dotted with trees, both next to the road and set back a bit from the road. A concrete path curves past the playground up to a fenced rectangular oval which is the home base for the Doberman and Dog Obedience Club. At the pavilion there is a water tap with bowl and bins. If you go past the oval it becomes an on-leash area.
