St Leonards Picnic Ground is a regional park on the banks of the North Esk River with picnic facilities, BBQs, playground, toilets, parking and riverside recreation area, including a fenced off-leash dog exercise area. Dogs are required to be on-lead in all other areas. The fenced area has one area for all dogs, single-gate entry, shaded seating, water tap, doggy bag dispenser and bins. Dogs have access to the river for swimming at this location. The area is popular with dog owners, and many visitors enjoy allowing their dogs to cool off in the river nearby.
