Home Beach at Point Lookout has an area where dogs can be off-leash, specifically between Rocky Point and Rocky Headland, ending at the wooden stairs leading up to the Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel. The access path to Home Beach next to Adder Rock Camping Ground. In this area, which is about 1km long, dogs can go in the water, no drinking water, shelter or seating. Important: Flinders Beach and Amity Point foreshore (at Ballow Street) are not dog off-leash areas. Dogs must be on-leash at all times in these locations and are not allowed in the prohibited area between Geera Street and the Amity Point access to Flinders Beach.
