The First Fleet Memorial Picnic Area, which is beside the Quirindi Creek, is a dog off leash area but not within 10 metres of buildings or play equipment and not when area is being used for community activities. There are toilets, picnic tables, BBQs, playground and campground. There is a memorial which has the names of all those who arrived on the first and second fleet carved into the stones.
