Nelson Beach and foreshore reserve, which is 900m long, is a timeshare dog off leash area. At the northern headland (Plantation Point) there is a playground, carpark, water bottle refill station and toilets.
- 1 October to 30 April - off-leash from 4pm to 8am
- 1 May to 30 September - off leash from 3pm to 10am.
