Dogs must be on a leash until they reach the beach, which is an off-leash zone. There is a footbridge leading from Ocean Avenue in Stuarts Point township across the water and through the mangrove area to the beach. At the start point there are toilets, playground and BBQs. This is a 4x4 beach so care needs to be taken. The beach is 8.8km long and extends from Grassy Beach in the north to the SWR Breakwall in the south.
