Stanwell Park Beach Dog Off Leash Area

The dog off leash area of Stanwell Park Beach is restricted to the area north of the mouth of Hargraves Creek. There is a carpark off Park Parade between Seaview Crescent and Hillside Crescent which has a picnic table, shower, water tap and bins. From the carpark there is an access path to the beach. When you reach the beach head northwards until the beach peters out after 320m. Note: Dogs need to be kept on leash until you reach the beach and the lagoon formed by the creek is not an off leash area. The off leash beach has a section of sandstone cliffs at the back and rough surf and deep channels often make swimming problematic. Maybe it's best to explore the beach. Stanwell Park Beach is the most northern of the off-leash beaches in the Wollongong council area.
