Boambee Beach Dog Off Leash Area
Jordan Esplanade,
Boambee NSW,
2450
The entire length of Boambee Beach is a 5.7km long dog off-leash beach which is popular with dog walkers as well as joggers, 4-wheel drivers and beach fishers. The beach is not patrolled by lifeguards. Boambee Creek Reserve, at the southern end of Boambee beach, (access via Sawtell Road), is a popular area for locals with younger children which offers shallow water for smaller children and playground facilities. Care should be taken at the southern end where Boambee Creek meets Boambee Beach. Tidal currents can be very strong at Boambee Creek. It is recommended that people not swim, use surf craft or flotation devices and take extreme care if wading across the creek mouth where it meets the sea during outgoing tides. Be careful of 4-wheel drivers on the beach.
